History

Suez Oil Company (SUCO) was established in 1979 as an operating company for EGPC and The Group consisting of DEMINEX, Deutsche Erdoelversorgungsgesellschaft mbH, BP Exploration Operating Co. Ltd. and SHELL Winning N.V., in areas covered by the Petroleum Concession Agreement between the government of the Arab Republic of Egypt, EGPC and The Group (DEMINEX, BP, SHELL).

Effective March 2nd 2015 the new owner of DEA is the Luxembourg-based global investment vehicle LetterOne Effective March 17th 2015 RWE Dea AG has become DEA Deutsche Erdoel AG.






Effective November 11th 2002 GEOGE Suez GmbH assigned 25% of its shares to RWE Dea Suez GmbH.






Effective March 27th 2001 Repsol Exploracion Egipto S.A. has assigned its shares to GEOGE Suez GmbH.





Effective October 1st 1998 DEMINEX Suez Petroleum GmbH has assigned its shares to GEOGE Suez GmbH.






Effective July 1st 1994 SHELL Egypt N.V. has assigned 50% of its shares to DEMINEX Suez Petroleum GmbH and 50% of its shares to Repsol Exploracion Egipto S.A.






Effective Feb. 26th 1992 BP Exploration Operating Co. Ltd., has assigned its shares to Repsol Exploracion Egipto S.A.






Effective Nov. 30th 1991 BP Petroleum Development has assigned its shares to BP Exploration Operating Co. Ltd.




Effective Sept. 30th 1991 DEMINEX Deutsche Erdoelversorgungsgesellschaft mbH has assigned its shares to DEMINEX Suez Petroleum GmbH.







Effective April 1st 1989 the official name of SHELL Winning N.V. has been changed to "SHELL Egypt N.V.".
